In 2000, Steve Wilson from the UK (more about him here ) and Katja Gielnik from Germany (more about her here) were working in Hamburg Germany, Steve in film, TV and New Media and Katja as a writer.
By early 2001 Germany's New Media economy had all but collapsed.
The fallout spread and Steve bailed to produce music videos in Spain.
Shortly after, whilst sitting in a sunny plaza in Granada reading Cervantes, Whistling Mule was born. Although initially conceived as a documentary film unit, Steve and Katja have combined resources to build a one stop cross media communications shop.
We aren't going to pretend we are something we're not. We are not big and we try not to be too clever but we have a first class international pool of talent to draw on and we would probably impress your friends. We are not aloof and impersonal. We are international, ethical, hard working and ambitious Mules who whistle a lot and like tea. We do produce good work.
Over the last few years we have taken on some pretty interesting and wide
ranging projects from promotional videos to corporate identities, from documentaries to international music webcasts, from technical authoring and script development to IT media consultancy. We have also started producing our own Mule branded in-house docu's, music and science educational content.
We work mainly in three European areas; UK, Germany and Spain but we'll bray anywhere.
We have ecletic media and technical backgrounds, we are flexible, innovative and kicking. An impossible world needs an impossible animal so wile away some time doing impossible things with a Whistling Mule.
We have artistic hearts and technical minds and we will make it to the promised land, come bray with us today.
